Hi Female Founders,
Thank you to everyone who joined our quarterly call last Friday! Here's a quick recap for anyone who missed it. It also works as a refresher for the rest of us.
|
The Quick Recap
This was our quarterly networking call. Members shared business updates and talked through upcoming SuperZoo opportunities. Meghan, Michelle, and Jamie led the meeting. They also shared our mission to support women in the pet industry, plus our progress toward becoming a formal non-profit.

Non-Profit Progress Update
Meghan shared where we stand on becoming an official non-profit. We still need legal and accounting resources to get there. She also announced two upcoming initiatives to watch for: a member directory and featured member articles.

Trade Show Talk
Pet Industry Trade Show Updates
Jamie shared that Innovative Pet Lab will be at SuperZoo. They're sponsoring the pet relief areas and the official poop party. Jamie will also moderate a Thursday talk on pet industry accelerators (PCIP, LEAP, SKU, and Plug and Play).
Michelle's team at ShopDot shared a case study too. They split booths with multiple brands across six shows in five weeks. It led to strong engagement and sales. We talked about Female Founders having our own presence on the show floor down the line, and replicating that shared-booth strategy at future events.

Needs, Offers & Connections
Members helping members is always our favorite part. A few asks and offers came up on the call. Reach out if you can help:
- Jamie wants recommendations for a good Amazon e-commerce agency.
- Linda shared a franchise opportunity with Dog Perfect. Reach out if you're curious.
- Deb needs marketing guidance for her new soft-sided pet urn product.
- Lindsay is interested in attending SuperZoo. Let us know if you have leads for someone needing a booth worker.

Thanks again for the great turnout. And for showing up for each other, as always.
See many of you at SuperZoo in August!
